2. Description of Service

BookToast is a gamified writing tracker designed for authors to track their writing progress, build habits through streaks, and earn achievements. The Service includes features such as manuscript tracking, word count logging, writing streaks, experience points, and achievement systems.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription and Payments

BookToast offers both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method the applicable subscription fees
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase (contact support@booktoast.co)

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create and store within BookToast, including manuscript information, chapter details, and writing logs. You grant us a limited license to store and display this content solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use the Service to store malicious content
  • Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

BookToast and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BookToast and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.

8. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any significant changes that negatively affect your use of the Service.
